Welcome to experience the authentic magic of Lapland in a remote wilderness village. No mass tourism- just personal, small-group experiences for 1-8 guests.

Saivo Wild offers nature experiences and arctic adventures in the wilderness landscapes of Saivo and the authentic wilderness village of Raattama, right next to Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. The village is surrounded by fells, old-growth forests and clear lakes. One of the lake, Saivojärvi, serves as the base for our adventures. Saivo is a mystical place filled with Arctic magic. On every tour, I share the ancient story behind Saivo and what life in Lapland truly looks like through the eyes of a local.

Our experiences are based on locality, shared moments together and respect for nature-without mass tourism. Pure nature, silence, some of the cleanest air on the world are our strength. We welcome up to 8 guest at a time. Pick-up and dop-off are included in all tours.

All the adventures and experiences happen here, just 40 minutes away from Levi.

Getting here is easy – transfers are included for every adventure, so getting here is effortless!

I’ll pick you up and return you safely to your accommodation after the experience. The drive takes only about 45 minutes from Levi, as we travel trough the untouched wilderness.

All activities and adventures are designed for a small groups. To keep our experience personal and authentic, we only take up to 8 people at a time.

Mooie tocht met slee achter sneeuwscooter naar eigen cabin. Sneeuwschoenwandeling door de natuur (meer, rivier, heuvel) en daarn een prima lunch in de cabin. Zeer aardige gids die er alles aan doet om het je naar je zin te maken. Absolute aanrader!!

She made the fish we got in the lake and it’s delicious. And on the way back to hotel she found the aurora for me !!!! She even bring me back the earphones I left in the car (which is 40 min drive ) really appreciated a lot. Would definitely come back to them !

Our guides were very kind and showed us how the locals live in this area. It felt very authentic and special to be taken to these privat places. First we visited a reindeer farm and spent some time feeding the reindeers. Then we were taken to a beautiful log cabin in the middle of the forest and went on a tour with snowshoes. The winter landscape and the forest were stunning! Back at the cabin we got offered very tasty soup, self made bread and later even marshmallows, delicious cake, coffee and glöggi next to a cozy fire. We felt welcomed all the time and really appreciated the personal and cozy atmosphere. If you are looking for a mindful and slow travel experience this is for you! :)

A magical day in Lapland with everything taken care of by our hosts, Tanja and Timi: full pick up at our hotel to a typical Lappish village, time with the reindeers, snowmobile, ice fishing, traditional delicious homemade meal and of course great chats all together. They also provided us with warm clothes, blankets and were very careful with our needs in a very cold environment. I definitely recommend this trip if you are keen to have a complete glimpse of the Lappish world in company of great friendly guides.

After arriving at the beautiful house in the woods, we went for a walk in wilderness, which was surprisingly easy with snowshoes - definitely try it! Afterwards, our hosts, Tanja and Timi, invited us to their kota for delicious sausages, cookies, homemade pie and marshmallows paired with warming, sweet glögi. They're the nicest people, we had a lovely chat and learned a lot from them. We felt right at home. After the meal we were tucked in a sleigh once again and made a trip back to Raattama village. A special shout-out to our hosts' dog, who was so funny and friendly :) All in all, this experience was worth every penny, we'll definitely come back the next time we're in Lapland!
